put us under a spell. We wanted a winter break with some sunshine; somewhere we had never explored. Madrid was our choice and it exceeded expectations. Although overnight temperatures dipped below freezing, we enjoyed our mid-day meals in outdoor cafes under clear blue skies. The food, the wine, the people, and the sights were all wonderful.
I loved the wrought iron balconies and gorgeous ceramic tiles that seemed to be everywhere.

Very few of the balconcies were big enough to sit on. Some were really just decorative rails. They were all gorgeous!

You're not wrong about the balconies and tiles. They're stunning. I'd love an old balcony to sit on.

Beautiful pictures. Seems like you have had a wonderful time in Spain.
We are not really better now and had to cancel our trip to Ghent which was planned for tomorrow. :(
Enjoy the warm temperatures here, I think spring is really on its way now.
Hugs, Monika
